BEHIND THE SCENES AT THE TRUE ORIGINAL SERIES TINTYPE 02 PHOTOSHOOT
This is the second series in the True Original Tintype photography campaign. It showcases the Horween Leather Company, and the use of Horween leather for our watch straps.

Since 1905, the Horween Leather Company has been setting the standards for the highest quality leathers. All of the leathers are processed at Horween, on the corner of Elston and Ashland in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.

For more than 100 years and five family generations, the Horween factory has stayed true to their goal, to make the world’s best leather. That is why at Ingersoll we select Horween leathers for our straps as they offer an unparalleled blend of quality, consistency, responsiveness and innovation, all still made by hand.

THE LEATHER SELECTION
Horween Leather carefully selected for use within the Ingersoll range.

Horween Chromexcel
A Bovine, Cow Side leather, it is original pull-up leather, Vegetable tanned. Yields the magnificent true aniline hand rubber finish, providing a rich, clear stain that allows the natural character of the article to be seen.

Horween Dublin
A Bovine, Cow side leather. A plated full grain vegetable tanned leather with a pull-up patina produced using a mixture of oil and wax.

Horween Derby
A Bovine, Cow side leather. Has the same tannage, material and process as Dublin but with an additional process of dry milling which breaks up the flat characteristics for a more rugged worn look.
